ABOUT US

Looking back at the vision and mission, it all started as a young male in Brooklyn, NY  Cooper Projects in the 80's and 90's. Growing up I never realized we was all poor for the most part because being fashionable made you overlook some of the realities. My story isn't one of those who didn't have food to eat, while we weren't wealthy, I saw what "THE HUSTLE LOOKED LIKE", and for what it's worth I was wearing a shearling and had gold fronts in my mouth at the age of 11 or 12. I had a Grandmother the ran numbers and uncles that did what they did. Around this time Dapper Dan who was very influential and well-known was selling high end designers printed fabrics and customizing it for the "Ghetto celebs". I wasn't influenced by DAP, but I was influenced by a guy named Reggie who was also creating designer Fashion, just like DAP. The twist is my mother was one of the peoples sewing the patches together for Reggie, this put the fashion bug in me as a little kid. Reggie was an icon to me being he was from the same projects I was from; in fact, he lived in the next building from me. Reggie ended up getting murdered in Harlem while trying to transition out the drug game and fully invest his time into the fashion game, the fashion game was looking great for him. I decided to build United Jewels to focus on style but more so a brand that would stand on values & principles while dropping Jewels in order to create a conscious driven community and focused on an educated consumer. After all fashion always will make a 360 spin, old trends will become new again. The brand is about Education-Economics & Freedom.  The logo embodies all 3 elements, The Diamond/Jewel/Gems is another word for saying something that's of value, A teaching. The worm represents Economics, being able to eat, feed your family, getting money, the bird which is a robin represents freedom. This brand isn't for the weak; I came up different! the 80's was 5% ERS & THE NATION, IYKYK. Knowledge of self was a must. The goal is to teach!
